In Memory of Parker

In Memory of Parker

Scarcely three months shy of fifteen years since his birth on 5th January 2006, my Carolina Dog, Parker, was tired and ready to rest after a fun filled life in the mountains of North Georgia.  A trusted and loyal companion who had a passion for good food and licking plates, he will be sorely missed by his Papa Tug who has not slept alone in nearly fifteen years.  Farewell my best friend.

Tug - So upset still to hear about Parker. I know he was your partner in crime, best buddy, and companion in every adventure you set off to do. It's going to be tough, but the memories you have of him with you will live forever. -Matt, Cassie, Bennett Reply to this comment

If anyone wanted to witness the glorious bond between a man and his dog you just had to witness Parker and Papa Tug. I know Tug will miss him the most, but we will all miss seeing this magical connection! Thinking of you Tug. You are right, it is a different world now. Reply to this comment

Tug, we are both sad to hear about Parker. The short time we knew him we knew he was a sweet dog and so very very special to you. He will be missed dearly by you. Reply to this comment

We cry with you Tug. Although we never met Parker, we heard a lot about him from our Mom and Dad (Charles and Nancy). They have the "Parker wood carving" in his special spot by the front door. Goodbye our friend - see you on the other side. Reply to this comment

As a neighbor to Papa Tug I join him in recognizing the passing of Parker. My dog Alex and I often visited Tug to allow Alex to share with Parker’s treats. On special occasions Parker would sing for all of our family. He was a beautiful dog and our mountain homes will miss these occasions and his presence. Thanks, Tug for your devotion to Parker and maintaining a steady source of treats for him and Alex. LYNN Reply to this comment

Liz and I were together with you and Parker yesterday in our hearts , conversations, and tears ... Tug, you were the greatest Papa to Parker and your world and life WILL go on .... but there will forever be an emptiness in your heart that was Parker’s place ???? Liz and I STILL ache for our FANCY and BEAU... Like PARKER, they loved and adored us unconditionally and we gave that same love and adoration right back .... Because of your final act of love and consideration for Parker’s well being , he is NOW a young, healthy , frolicking pup in Heaven ... Beau is showing him were the unlimited supply of chicken nuggets are and Fancy is showing him where the freshest water fountains are and the best fire hydrants .... You will feel his presence for a while ... Parker will stay close to make sure YOU are ok ... Liz and I share your aching heart ???????????????????? We love you , Tug???? Reply to this comment

Uncle Tug, I will miss my best friend, but will try to remember our young fun days. He was my first friend the day I came to live on the mountain. That day we road in your car to R&A and I tee tee’d on your wallet. Parker was so gracious and never told on me. All of our fun times looking for varmints at Ingles and chasing bears in the yards. Each sneaking up or down the path just to hang our for a second or see who might have some great food. Everyday for chick-chick. I will still go to my deck and look for him, but somehow I think I know he cant come over anymore. Today is my first day without him here next door but also the first day he will live in my heart forever. Wrigley Reply to this comment
