In Memory of Lexi Delio

In Memory of Lexi: 12/05/07 - 02/13/19

Lexi, (aka Lexi Lou or LuLu), gave us the best and most amazing 11 years of our lives. She was our first dog and can never been replaced! She touched so many lives including complete strangers. Lexi had such a calm demeanor, the best personality and was well-behaved. She would sit on the top of the hill and just people watch, yet never run after anyone or anything. People were amazed by her and would comment on what a good dog. Lexi was definitely not just a dog, she was another spoiled member of the family. She had the run of the house. She would put herself to sleep in our bed under the covers, head on the pillow. She would wake you up with her kisses when she was ready for you to be awake. If you weren't paying attention to her, she would rest her head on your lap or tap you with her paw. She knew with that beautiful face she could win anybody over; she was the prettiest puppy ever! Lexi also made sure she greeted you every time you walked through the door. We truly miss those greetings. She was one of a kind and very special in more ways then one. Lexi came on all vacations with us and if she wasn't allowed we didn’t go. She was the perfect passenger, even when some road trips were 17 hours long. She was always the first one out the door and ready to go wherever we were going. She loved her ball and frisbee that she had since she came to us. She loved to go on walks and would always make sure we were altogether while walking; she would always turn around and make sure everyone was still there. The few things Lexi wasn’t a fan of were the Mail, UPS, and FedEx trucks as well as thunder storms, fireworks and gun shots. Other then that she was the best spoiled furry friend on earth.  She gave us the most unconditional love anyone could ever imagine. She was our favorite hello and our hardest good-bye. It broke our hearts to lose her and we will forever miss her. XOXO

We love you Lexi Lou, always and forever.

My friend Lexi showed up at my house first. I will always remember the day Michelle came in with a sweet little white bundle of love. We talked about how we were going to convince her parents to keep this dog. Well whatever she said worked! Lex became such a beloved member of the family. She lived the best life a dog could. Lex was family she travelled everywhere and loved everyone. It was an absolute privlige to know this dog. She was always thrilled to see me. Ok I was bringing teats and presents but I felt the pure unconditional LOVE from Lex. I made sure Lexi was front and center at Brian and Michelles wedding. I convinced thr NY Uber driver to let her have a ride so we would be on time for photos. I spent this weekend with the family. We reminised, cried and smiled at all the fun times. It was quiet without Lex but her presence is everywhere in the beautiful photos in the Delio houze. @ Reply to this comment

Lexi May you Rest In Peace! You were the first to greet us at the Delio’s with that loveable wiggle that you had. Always looking for that belly rub! I’ll miss you waking me up in Panama City for our early morning walks. We truly enjoyed your time and always brought a smile to our faces. We love ❤️ ya! You couldn’t have asked for better parents!!!! Reply to this comment

It was always a great time walking at Swift Cantrell Park. Through the years, we aged and you stayed a sweet puppy. You are surely and will continue to be missed. Schnyeder Reply to this comment

Lexi lu u were truly one of a kind. Never met a dog so loyal and loving to her family. We had u on the boat snd yes u wore the captain’s hat. Yes women power! U had me at hello because I love white boxers, u were a big girl and I love big dogs. U so reminded me of a beluga wale and I love them too. When we went to Pcb Roe said u don’t go on couches but u and I knew different. It didn’t matter if u got on the couch or in bed because u were family and that’s the way I ‘m with my rascals. It’s so hard to say goodbye to our furry family but I guess all the wonderful memories that u have given us will remain in our hearts forever. If I weee a dog I would want my owners to be the delio’s. That’s what it’s all about! You Rest In Peace Lexi lu and keep showing ur family that ur OK. So happy that u shared your life with a family who loved u unconditionally and u loved them the very same way. U fought a hard battle Lexi and God saw that u were tired. Reply to this comment

You were always a sweet girl and a gentle giant. You left us much too soon and you are missed. I think of you as running free, no pain, playing with all your cousins who crossed before you. Reply to this comment
